" "-man, Where have you gone??

"Courageous, self sacrificing people, setting examples for all of us. Everybody loves a hero. People line up for 'em, cheer 'em, scream their names, and years later they'll tell how they stood in the rain just to get a glimpse of the one who taught them how to hold on a second longer.
I believe there's a hero in all of us, that keeps us honest, gives us strength, makes us noble,
and finally allows us to die with pride; even though sometimes we have to be steady and give up the thing we want the most,
even our dreams."

Because Working Out Gives You Energy, and Now I'm Wide Awake.

Aside from the squeaky bed springs across the street that no doubt will continue until at least around 4AM as is the norm around here these days, the sound of the breeze rustling the cherry blossom trees and the semi-refreshing wet smell of the last month of Fall is truly soothing, cathartic. Calm down the sympathetic and lull myself into a sweet parasympathetic rest and digestive state (learning massage and my instructor loves to throw in terms from anatomy...even when they're absolutely unnecessary, but I don't mind...good reminder of basic knowledge for nursing). In any case, aside from my body still on a temporary runner's high...my attempts to burn through some time came through enlisting the aid of blogs. I love to read personalities, and I certainly do not mean at first glance attempting to read someone like a book, but instead absorbing the sweet morsels of their personality that only comes through reading their individual writing styles. It's honestly a wondrous thing when you think about the human mind and heart, billions of thoughts racing from each encounter and event of the day and realizing that this is just one human's imagination. Then to imagine billions of humans each with their own billions of thoughts is truly overwhelming, and although a childish dream I'd love for a moment to see a tiny interesting bit of all those lives. Haha, but then that would be a state of omnipotence really, Godly abilities and far too much to handle for one human who is busy trying to figure out his own thoughts to begin with. Well then, I'll just settle for the little joys I get from reading blogs from time to time. The best part though is that 'you never know what you're gonna get'... thank you for the cliché Forrest Gump's mom. Living vicariously through the amusing, heartwarming, sometimes serious, but many times unexpected written anecdotes of friends and random writers alike.

The squeaking stopped.
Nope nevermind I was mistaken haha.

Trenchy, The Lovable Coffee Hobo.

So as I sit here browsing sites, learning a new language, and otherwise making superb use of my time at work...I start to ponder about everything...and I daydream far more often than I should these days, but the realization of that doesn't stop it from happening (and I suppose I don't really want it to).

In any case, about 2 weeks or so ago when heading out to Starbucks for a cup of hot green tea (which by standards of a certain ladyfriend means I'm a crotchety old guy). I caught wind (and I mean it quite literally, a real good pungent aroma) of a bearded old homeless man who I've seen traverse all over the local area before. His face was aged and his beard tangled and caked in dirt. His eyes were just sullen and tired, reminded me of all those sad commercials they put up on TV usually featuring some random celebrity followed by a slideshow of kids looking extremely pitiful. I didn't really think about it but mechanically I went into the Starbucks and bought two hot beverages and a sizeable portion of coffee cake and delivered a small meal to my new homeless friend outside.

"Are you hungry?"
(choked voice) "Sure I could use summin"
"Here you go."

It's only later I thought of why he was without a home and turned into a vagabond of the bay area. Why exactly is it that many of us are led down a path of misfortune to a fate that we otherwise could not predict. He munched on that coffee cake like he hadn't eaten in days. I wish I enjoyed all my food with that same look on his face. In any case, days later when I was driving to Target to pick up some essentialsss I saw him crossing the street while at a stoplight. He recognized me and smiled and waved (Or maybe he's just friendly and waves to everyone -_- but that takes away from my happiness.) It was probably the highlight of my day though, maybe even my week (gotta love the small things, also- sidenote, you gotta catch 'em all). I shall name him Trenchy, and he will be my Trenchy, and he will be mine.

Thanksgiving is coming up,
It's cliché but its time again to remember how good we have it, even though we should always be thankful for the 'coffeecake' we get on a daily basis anyway.

Day 1

So, we meet again! "blogspot-I-created-long-ago-with-the-probable-intent-of-using-but-then-shelved-away-for-no-apparent-reason." I will take your challenge, you dare me to write with your alluring tabula rasa...I will write all over you, like the watermelons bloom in the summer! (if you understand that watermelon reference, huge kudos to you). In any case, we'll meet again soon blogspot, mark my words, it will be soon.

Your renewed master,
